How to Start Your Own Blog

Blogging can be a fun and interesting medium to share your insights and thoughts to readers across the internet. A lot of people have started with writing on paper journals, but since typing can be faster than writing plus it enables you to share your thoughts with a much larger crowd, blogging is new modern age journaling.

How to start your own blog? There are a lot of free sites out there, such as wordpress, livejournal, blogger, xanga, etc. All you have to do is sign up and get assigned your free blog space on the web. You can start by selecting from pre-fabricated templates, and you can writing there and then. Most bloggers have an ongoing theme to their blogs, could be a technology blog, health and beauty, cooking, or a fusion of 2 or more related topics. As you go along learning the basics, soon you will need to know how to upload pictures, videos, others even do a podcast on their blogs.

Then eventually people move away from free blogs and try their hands on hosted site domains. Domain is your personal address or URL on the web. Web Hosting is an allocated space on the web where you house your domain. Consider it the land your house sits on over the internet. There are a lot of companies out there specializing in providing the fast loading websites. That’s what Ultra Website Hosting do. They also have Superior Servers and knowledgeable team of tech support in case you run into problems.

Easier Online Shopping Experience

Our friends have wanted to move away from carrying bulky digital SLR camera and gift themselves with a more condensed and portable digital camera. For a while now, there had been a great buzz on Panasonic DMC-LX3 10.1MP Digital Camera with 24mm Wide Angle MEGA Optical Image Stabilized Zoom or Canon PowerShot S95 10 MP Digital Camera with 3.8x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 3.0-Inch inch LCD. After seeing that the above mentioned cameras produce SLR quality images, many would like to jump off the DSLR band wagon.

I had been curious but unfortunately, I do not know exactly where to get digital camera reviews, price comparisons, etc. Wouldn’t it be nice if there’s one place we can go to on the internet to get some guidance? Like a shoppers’ buying guide. Of course I would like to get the best deal for my buck. I want to shop online so save me the grief of driving in traffic, lots of holiday shoppers at the mall, and save on fuel and help reduce my carbon footprint.

ShopWiki.co.uk is full of numerous and beneficial buying information, guidance and products. You can find there product specifications, user reviews, prices for a specific item you are looking for. There are also store review and ranking from consumers who have availed products from those stores.

I Record and Channel Surf at the Same Time

Guest post from: Natalie Walter

I really enjoy two television shows that are on at the same time on different channels. If I’m home, I’ll watch one and record the other. If I’m out, I’ll record both of them. The great thing about DVR service is the capability to record two different things on two different channels. Sometimes I’ll be watching something I’ve already recorded on the DVR while two other shows, on two separate channels, are recording.

I really need my DVR from www.tvbydirect.com/directv-deal/NORTH-CAROLINA-NC-direct-tv.html in order to get the most for my money. There are a lot of channels to choose from with so much programming that it is easy to get lost in so many choices. With my DVR, I can record one show while channel surfing. If I find something interesting, I’ll watch it. If not, I can start watching what I was recording from the beginning even before the show is over. I tell you what, DVR service is a remote control commander’s dream come true.

I also like it that DVR is intuitive. No longer is it necessary to have a degree in rocket science just to operate the TV set. If I see something I like in the guide, I just press the record button. The DVR system will even prompt me if there are any conflicts with other stuff that I have set to record and give me options that are just a click of the remote away.

Electronic Pest Control

Pest Control technology had evolved over time.  Back in the days, smelly and possibly hazardous chemicals are applied to household to control pest, such as ants, termites, mosquitos and small rodents.  Other forms of pest control may include traps, sprays, bait system, insecticide spray and sometimes other organic pest control resources such as homemade mosquito coil from Gliricidia sepium or madre de cacao leaves.  With our family home in Houston pest control was installed using electronic devices that sends off ultra-sonic sounds that repels and disables pest, but pose no danger to human. This method is better and safer than commercial plug-in devices that may have harmful odors or chemicals and less cumbersome than installing baits or traps.

iPhone 4 and iphone 3gs Side by Side Review

Thanks to PhoneArena who did a very comprehesive side by side review of the latest two iphone versions, the apple iphone 4 and apple iphone 3gs. The iphone is a phone created and issued by Apple Computers, pre-empted by a commercial called “Hello” in 2007. It changed the way mobile consumers used their cell phones.

Introducing the New 2010 MacBook Air

The next generation of MacBook Air is out, Apple released the new baby at noon time today, October 21, 2010.   This could be the thinnest and most light weight laptop for it’s size – measuring at 0.68 in thickness and weighing 2.3 to 2.9 pounds. The price tags for the new MacBook Air are $999 for the 11-inch netbook-sized model, and $1299 for the 13-inch model. Previous model was priced at $1499 to $1799 and only comes as 13-inch model but varies in power. People may think that MacBook is underpowered and overpriced as a laptop when you can buy a dell laptop for half the price. But it is a Mac, and they are known for having much sturdier platform and system that is unsusceptible and unpersuadable by computer viruses.

2010 MacBook Air

Those who were able to get their hands into it already have reported that unlike it’s other competition, this laptop features a a kick ass screen resolution at 16:9 aspect ratio version of a 1024-by-768 pixel display, and full size keyboard, making life much crispier, brighter and easier all around.

I am close to being sold now, but I was told there are no optical drives on these babies. What?!?! no optical drive? No DVD player, No CD player, No BluRay, NADA! It only comes with a thumb drive that has the Operating System’s back up. How am I going to watch my soap opera DVDs and Glee Episodes without a DVD player?

I was close to giving up and not even looking at this and shared my dilema to my Mac Junkie husband who told me that with a good Video Converter, I can convert wmv and rm files to into mpeg and mpeg4 and play the movies in MacBook Air. So really all I needed is a Video Converter for Mac? I’m sure the iPad Video Converter he found last week for new toy will work. He’s been able to download his favorite movies and watch them on his iPad. The name of the product was imToo and it works great. Not only it converts files, imToo also has a software that allows you to transfer files from iphone or ipad to itunes and your mac or pc.

I can’t call myself a professional photographer not even a hobbyist, but I but I do enjoy taking pictures and getting the best shot. I go throught phases where I spend a lot on honing my photography, then spend months not touching the camera as well. Of course years later, I still need to learn a lot about the camera. One day I’d be able to take classes and take my photography to a higher level. I love my camera and I think it will last me a while.

Nokia 5300

Nokia 5300 XpressMusic - LilacFeaturing a music player that can play on wireless stereo headphones and with looks as cool as the music you listen to, the Nokia 5300 XpressMusic is the perfect marriage of music and style. Get yours first!

I purchased this phone in June 2007 and used it through  September of the same year.  Had it not been for my cousin who wanted to trade phone, I would have not given it up.

Pros:
FM and MP3 player
1.3 megapixel camera and video crisp screen for playing games
Small in size
Can be replace your mp3 player and cellphone with a decent amount of memory space

Cons:
Contruction look more like a toy than a cell phone
Battery drains so fast – 45 mins of playing games drained over half of a full battery
charger is different now than the old nokia units, you have to have a pin converter or buy an extra charger for car or office use.

I traded this cellphone to a Nokia 6670.
